My Top 5 Movies...

... of all time! We all have those movies we absolutely adore. The ones we watch day in and day out, no matter the weather. Those movies that when we watch everything seems right.
This blog post is about my favorite movies and why they are.
A Christmas Prince
This Netflix original film only came out last year but it's one of my absolute favorites.
It's about an aspiring journalist called Amber Moore (Rose McIver), who goes undercover as a tutor to get the inside scoop on a playboy prince. However she stumbles into a royal complication whilst also finding love - but is she able to hide her true identity?
I'm smitten by this movie, it emits Christmas spirit and leaves me feeling extremely christmasy and warm.
Coco
I love Pixar and all Disney in general but this one cries out to me. It portrays the importance of family (both dead and alive). It expresses why family traditions are important whilst also highlighting how important it is too follow your dreams.
Miguel is a longing musician, but he is confronted with his family's ancestral ban on music. When he enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather: a legendary singer, Miguel learns that things are not always as they seem.
This witty movie teaches the importance of family through a fun, animated Disney film with catchy songs throughout. Coco is utterly touching and heart-warming.
Elf
Words can't describe how much I love Elf!
This movie always picks me up when I'm feeling down and makes me feel extremely festive. I always watch at least once around Christmas (although i would of watched it a dozen times before christmas day). It's a family favorite and can't be watched unless you're snuggled up on the couch under a blanket with a cup of cocoa.
For anyone who has been living under a rock Elf is about Buddy (Will Ferrel) a grown man who is convinced he's an elf despite his size. When Buddy learns he's not an Elf he goes on a comical search for his real family.
If you haven't watched it I highly recommend you do, it's a Christmas classic!
La La Land
Despite it only coming out two years ago La La Land feels as if it's a classic. I'm obsessed with everything about it. It's amazingly filmed and the songs are wonderful (I don't listen to them on repeat for hours on end) as well as super catchy.
The movies runs through a year in Mia (Emma Stone) and Sebastian (Ryan Gssling) lives. From the very beginning til the end of their heart warming/ heart wrenching tale. As aspiring actress and jazz pianist navigate their lives through Los Angeles they fall in love whilst attempting to reconcile their aspirations for the future.
The Fault In Our Stars
Is one of my absolute favorite, I love both the book and the film so much!
The story line (without revealing too many spoilers) revolves around its narrator, Hazel-Grace Lancaster, a 16 year old girl diagnosed with terminal cancer. ‘Inside the Literal Heart of Jesus’, she first encounters Augustus Waters, who is himself a survivor of cancer. The novel follows them through moments of happiness, romance and sadness.
I'm constantly re-reading/ re-watching this beloved novel continually laughing and crying.
If you've not watched any of these I hope you're inspired to watch them and if any of these are also you're favorite maybe you're tempted to re-watch them. If you have different favorites I'd love to know what they are.
